Chargie ("the App") is developed by Vi Truong Le ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you use Chargie. We wrote it to describe exactly what the App does — no more, no less.
Chargie is a local-first app: it has no accounts or logins, and almost everything it does happens entirely on your device. The one exception is described below under "Information sent over the internet" — the App loads a public content catalog. The sections below spell out exactly what is and is not collected.
Chargie does not collect, and does not ask you for:
To function, Chargie reads and stores the following, entirely on your device (and, where noted, inside an iOS App Group container shared only between the Chargie app and its own Widget/Live Activity extension — never transmitted anywhere):
None of the information above is transmitted to us, to Vi Truong Le, or to any third party.
The App makes one type of network request: it loads a content catalog (the list of available companions, wallpapers, and widget faces, along with their names and preview images) from our content delivery network. This is a standard, public, read-only web request — it does not include your name, device identifier, location, or any other personal information. It exists purely to let the App show you an up-to-date catalog of content, the same way loading a public web page would.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, because we do not collect any personal information to begin with. The only outbound network activity is the public catalog request described above, which is not a data-sharing arrangement — it is a one-directional content fetch.
Chargie is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age. Because the App does not collect personal data from any user, this applies equally to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address below and we will address it — though as explained above, the App has no mechanism to collect such information in the first place.
Because Chargie stores its data only on your device, you are always in control:
If we change how the App handles data — for example, if we introduce a new feature that requires different data handling — we will update this page and change the effective date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
